Michael brings a multifaceted and diverse background to his advising. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota, his career included teaching, fundraising for non-profits, running political campaigns, lobbying, and owning an environmentally friendly small business, Skylark Dry Cleaning. Michael holds a BA in Secondary Education and an MS in Management. In his free time, he uses his environmental passion to serve on several community groups.
Charles has over seven years of advising and recruiting experience and currently advises students entering the the University of Minnesota's Applied and Professional Studies undergraduate programs in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies. He holds a B.E.S in Geography with an emphasis in Retail Location Theory.
University of Minnesota Online is organized through the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of Minnesota. Online degree programs and certificates are managed by University of Minnesota collegiate units.
Bob Rubinyi is Senior Analyst for Online Learning, Center for Educational Innovation. He oversees the U of M Online initiative, the University’s Coursera MOOC partnership, and related online curricular initiatives. Bob has worked for over 25 years in the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. He received his BA from the University of California, San Diego, and MA and PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Stephanie Platteter provides operational leadership for the University of Minnesota Online website and call center. Since 2001 she has also been the Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management for the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) leading a team of professional marketers and service representatives to identify and engage learners in CCAPS program opportunities. She holds a BS in business and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management here at the University of Minnesota.
