Many tech and science-based startups use venture competitions to define their value propositions and business models, get feedback from competition judges/mentors, get in-kind support, gain exposure to potential investors, and (maybe) win a prize.  In this session, we'll share pointers on applying, as well as several ventures' experiences of participating in competitions, as well as how that participation led to their subsequent development.
